Celebrate Baton Rouge’s bicentennial by joining the Capitol Park Museum on a walking tour through historic Spanish Town, the city’s oldest neighborhood. Commissioned in 1805, Spanish Town has undergone many changes since its inception and is today a collage of architectural styles. Surviving structures range in date from the Pino House built in 1823, to 2016.
Patrons are advised to dress comfortably. The walking tour is free and departs from the museum lobby at 9:30 a.m. Tours last approximately 60 minutes. Due to limited availability, reservations are required. Please reserve your place by calling (225) 342-5428.
