Join us from 10am to 2pm for games and activities for kids, like wetland jeopardy and matching animals to correct the wetland habitat; a photobooth based on a series of stylized posters looking at common wetland species; a series of photos and narratives from coastal residents about their experiences. Also magazines about coastal issues, information on wetlands restoration, posters, and more!
This event is free and open to the public.
This summer, please join the Capitol Park Museum in partnership with the Louisiana National Heritage Area for Preserving Our Natural Abundance, a celebration of the richness and beauty of Louisiana’s natural landscape. This series of family programs, Lunchtime Lagniappe lectures, and evening events will underscore the interconnectedness of life in our ecosystem, call attention to the critical environmental issues facing the state, and celebrate the ways that people appreciate and embrace Louisiana’s natural abundance.
