Born and raised in Fort Worth, TX., Fonville Winans was a teenaged Depression Era cinematographer, photographer, saxophonist, and budding entrepreneur. He eventually moved to Louisiana and settled on photography as a profession. Hear more about Fonville by Mark E. Martin, LSU Libraries-Special Collections archivist and photo historian.
