"Brave in the Attempt: Special Olympics in Louisiana" at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame & Northwest Louisiana History Museum in Natchitoches, explores the history of Special Olympics with an emphasis on the organization’s efforts in Louisiana. The seeds for Special Olympics Louisiana were planted at the 1968 Special Olympics Games, held on Soldier’s Field in Chicago. The opening is Saturday, May 5th, at 6:00 p.m. with drinks and appetizers. The public is invited to this free opening.
