Event Date: Wednesday, November 6, 2019

Join us from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for an evening celebrating the culmination of our nine-week adult drumming course, led by Luther Gray. Students will perform rhythms that showcase the rich history of the New Orleans beat and its diverse influences from Congo Square to the 21st century. Following the performance, explore the museum’s exhibitions, including Drumsville!: Evolution of the New Orleans Beat.

This program is generously funded through Aroha Philanthropies’ Seeding Vitality Arts in Museums Grant. Light refreshments provided by the Louisiana Museum Foundation. This event is FREE and open to the public.
