Sensory Friendly Mardi Gras Celebration

Families of children with autism and developmental disabilities are invited to the Louisiana State Museum to celebrate carnival in style! On Saturday, February 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the Presbytere will open early to minimize crowds and exhibit noises. Trained educators and volunteers will help lead drop-in art activities and exploration of the exhibition Mardi Gras: It's Carnival Time in Louisiana! Participants will also hear music from the musicians of Preservation Hall and learn more about the instruments they use. Come create, dance, sing, and celebrate together. This program is free for the whole family, but registration is required. Please register here: https://goo.gl/forms/W0RlTMpBb0Yp0eDQ2
