About Ingrid
My name is Ingrid M. Butler. My roots are in Franklin, LA, but I'm currently growing and thriving in New Orleans. Like so many, I started my gardening journey 8 years ago with a succulent on my window sill. This quickly evolved into a lush indoor garden and a container garden of edibles and ornamentals on my apartment balcony. In 2021, I bolstered my self-taught experience with formal training and became a certified Louisiana Master Gardener in New Orleans.

In the wake of the pandemic, I’m seeing two major issues plaguing my urban and rural communities that edible gardening can address: food insecurities and mental health struggles. What started as a hobby is now my mission– helping people, especially those who think they don’t have time or space for gardening, to build and maintain edible gardens that nourish mind, body, and spirit with ease.

You can find Ingrid in her garden or on social media @ingridmbutler.
