Book Release & Author Talk: Beyond the Shadows of the Cane River

Join us as entrepreneur, author, and photographer Jesse Poole presents his new memoir, Beyond the Shadows of the Cane River. This powerful and reflective work weaves together themes of grief, travel, photography, and survival, all viewed through the lens of Poole’s personal journey growing up in Natchitoches and seeking meaning through the camera’s eye across the country.

The evening includes a reading, artist talk, and Q&A session. A selection of large-format prints from the book and Poole’s travels will be on display. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.

5:00 p.m. – Enjoy cocktails and appetizers provided by FLASH, with craft beer donated by Flying Tiger Brewery.
5:30 p.m. – Author program and Q&A
