Join us for the first annual Oaks & Origins Festival, a special bicentennial celebration of the E.D. White Historic Site. This community festival will highlight two centuries of Bayou Lafourche’s rich culture, featuring historical demonstrations, folklife exhibits, and heritage displays exploring the site’s connections to Louisiana sugarcane farming, regional traditions, and the early history of Thibodaux.

Visitors will enjoy Cajun music, local cuisine, cooking demonstrations, art and craft vendors. Event admission is just $5 for ages 12+ (kids under 12 are free!).

Vendor booths will surround the 200-year-old home under the shade of the site’s majestic oaks, creating a lively marketplace celebrating local creativity and culture. Vendor and sponsorship opportunities are available—interested participants can find application forms and details at FriendsofEDWhiteSite.org
