Louisiana Civil Rights Museum Docent Training
Louisiana Civil Rights Museum Docent Training
Join the Friends of the Louisiana Civil Rights Museum for a hands-on docent training session designed for volunteers interested in sharing Louisiana’s civil rights history with visitors of all ages.
During this two-hour workshop, participants will learn:
• Best practices for leading engaging tours
• Techniques for facilitating dialogue with youth and adults
• An overview of themes presented in the Louisiana Civil Rights Museum’s inaugural exhibit
Docents play a key role in welcoming visitors, answering questions, and helping turn exhibitions into spaces for reflection, learning, and community connection.
