Join us at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame & Northwest Louisiana History Museum for Lunchtime Lagniappe where we will be joined by Abigail Boykin and Maragaret Fegan for their talk entitled "Restoring Our Languages: Mobilian Trade Jargon and Sabine River Spanish. Boykin and Fegan share their work with the Choctaw-Apache of Ebarb to revitalize two heritage languages: Adaeseño (Sabine River Spanish) and the western Mobilian Trade Jargon (Yama). Led by the Ho Minti Society, this effort supports community members in northwest Louisiana and beyond as they reconnect with their linguistic heritage.
