Second copy, in worse condition, located 09807.002. See Phillips, Vol. 1, p. 341-41, #596. First to depict, on a large scale, the British Empire in North America, and w/inclusion of recently formed Georgia, the first to name all 13 colonies. It became of of the primary cartographic documents depicting European interests in NA, its detailed rendering of the known part of the continent being unsurpassed by any other map of the time. Despite this, it was not given official recognition by the British Board of trade who regarded it as too favorable to French claims in the New World.
