Friends of the Cabildo returns to its annual Ghostly Gallivant Programing with Ghostly Tours in the 1850 House, Ghost Tours and our online auction. Tickets are limited for all the tours so don’t miss out! The auction will end on Oct. 30th at 6pm.

Ghostly Gallivant Tours – The Saffron Scourage | Friday, October 23rd, 5-8pm, tours every 20 minutes from the 1850 House (523 St. Ann St.) | Tickets $25 GA / $20 Members / $15 Students

During the suffocating summer of 1853, yellow fever – the dreaded, “Saffron Scourage,” claimed over 8,000 lives in New Orleans, wiping out a tench of the city in a matter of months. Become immersed in the horror of the epidemic with the residents of the 1850 House as they mourn their dead, cope with the ravages of the disease, and deal with the terror of the unknown.
