The Taste of Louisiana Reception at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Museum features passed hors d’oeuvres, tasting stations showcasing cuisine from across the state, and an open bar with complimentary beer, wine, soft drinks, and water.

Following the reception, guests will make their way—just a short walk down the block—to the Induction Ceremony at the Natchitoches Events Center.

Meet the Class of 2026

This year’s lineup is packed with hometown heroes, fan favorites, and game-changers:

  • Sylvia Fowles – LSU superstar, Olympic gold medalist, and one of the WNBA’s all-time greats.
  • Joe Horn – The wide receiver who lit up the Superdome and stole fans’ hearts.
  • Todd McClure – Baton Rouge native, LSU All-American, and Atlanta Falcons ironman.
  • Pat Williams – Monroe’s own powerhouse defensive tackle and three-time Pro Bowler.
  • Jonathan Lucroy – From Cajun Country to the MLB All-Star Game behind the plate.
  • John Brady – The coach who led LSU basketball to a Final Four run.
  • Mike McConathy – Louisiana’s winningest college basketball coach, known for grit and upsets.
  • Dewain Strother – A coaching legend in high school girls’ basketball, with more than 1,200 wins.

And we’re giving the Ambassador Award to Warren Morris, forever remembered for that walk-off homerun in the 1996 College World Series.
