Label from 1996 exhibit: At the top center and bottom right of the title cartouche are two Brazilian feather crowns. Both the headdress and the quiver filled with arrows and a bow seen center, bottom, were traditional European symbols for both South and North America. The water flowing from two culverts along each side represents the great the great American waterways.
