Good. Some foxing, browning, slight tears. Since this is such an important, often-used and exhibited map, it needs conservation.

Other copies (not original as is this one) located 09744d, T0055.1997.0319, 1982.077.164; the map, as well as each building inset have been photographed individually. Not all copies include the Arc de triumphe erected for Lafayette's visit to New Orleans.

First published Apr 29, 1817. Because this edition includes image of the (temporary) Arc de Triumphe erected for the Marquis de Lafayette's visit to New Orleans in the Spring of 1825, this must be a post 1824 edition.
