Requests for Information (RFIs)

The Louisiana State Museum periodically issues Requests for Information (RFIs) to gather ideas and input from businesses, organizations, and experts on a variety of projects. These RFIs help us explore potential partnerships and solutions that support our mission of preserving and enhancing Louisiana’s cultural heritage.

What is an RFI?

A Request for Information (RFI) is a standard government process used to collect ideas and assess interest before issuing formal contract opportunities. RFIs are not requests for bids or proposals but instead, allow interested parties to share innovative approaches and expertise.

RFIs may be issued for projects such as:

  • Historic Building Restoration: Seeking expertise in preservation and renovation.
  • Museum Exhibition & Design: Developing engaging and educational visitor experiences.
  • Property & Lease Management: Managing museum properties and leased spaces.
  • Facility Maintenance & Operations: Improving infrastructure and services.
