The Louisiana Historical Center also houses several microfilm collections. The largest single set of reels pertains to colonial Louisiana and the following collections can be used for research:
- The Louisiana Notarial Records Collection consists of 315 reels, (French Period 80 reels; 1714–1778, Spanish Period 235 reels; 1769–1803)
- Records of The Diocese of Louisiana and the Floridas (1576–1803; 12 reels)
- Colonial Records of St. Charles Parish (1740–1972; 9 reels)
- Colonial Records of Avoyelles Parish (1793–1796; 3 reels)
- Colonial Records of St. Landry Parish (1764–1793; 8 reels)
- Pontalba-Almonester-Miro Papers (1792–1796; 7 reels)
- Dissertations written about Louisiana (1954–1978; 59 reels)
